Essentials of Learning         May 13, 2020
Countless research projects, thousands of test books, and endless college courses have been dedicated to teaching teachers how to help learners learn. In Jeremiah's Circles' Learning to Read program we do not aspire to add any new or startling techniques to what has already been compiled. The author focuses on certain techniques that she believes are crucial in helping non-readers learn to read. The techniques outlined are easily understood common sense ideas and suggestions that tutors find useful. Some of these ideas will work with all students, some will work better than others, and some will not work at all. It's important to have as many resources as you can, when one technique doesn't work, move on to the next one.
