One-on-one tutors are in a unique position. They are able to give a student the close personal attention he needs that is otherwise not available in the classroom. They have an opportunity to really get to know each student. To learn what motivates him, to discover his interests and learning style, also the opportunity to explore his fears. In just a few minutes a day, a tutor can build deep rapport and a healthy teacher/student relationship.
